The Rockwell Museum is one of two Smithsonian Affiliates in upstate New York. We share the essence of the American experience with our visitors through art. Highlights include paintings, prints, sculptures, and more from the nineteenth century to the present. Our galleries evolve and refresh often, so there is always something new to see!

  • *In addition to our discount for active Military and Veterans, we participate in the Blue Star Museums program, providing free Museum admission to active military and their families from Armed Forces Day through Labor Day.
  • **The Rockwell offers a 50% discount on our admission rate to residents living in the Corning region, specifically those areas in New York and Pennsylvania where the zip codes begin with 148, 149 or 169. Qualifying residents may bring up to two guests at the resident rate.

Directions

The Rockwell Museum is located inside Old City Hall, just steps away from Historic Market Street in downtown Corning, NY, and under a mile from the main highway. The neighborhood surrounding the Museum features specialty eateries and unique shopping boutiques.

From the North
I-90E to Exit 46 (at Rochester) to I-390S to I-86E (NY-17E) to Exit 46. At end of the ramp, take a right onto 414/Center Way, crossing Bisco Bridge. Center Way turns into Cedar Street, and The Rockwell is on the right, on the corner of Denison Parkway and Cedar Street.

From the West

From the South
US-15N to I-86E (NY-17E) to Exit 46. Take a right onto 414/Center Way, crossing Bisco Bridge. Center Way turns into Cedar Street. The Rockwell is on the right, on the corner of Denison Parkway and Cedar Street.

From the East
I-86E (NY-17W) to Exit 46. Take a left onto 414/Center Way, crossing Bisco Bridge. Center Way turns into Cedar Street. The Rockwell is on the right, on the corner of Denison Parkway and Cedar Street.

From the greater New York City area
Take the George Washington Bridge to I-80W to I-380W to I-81N to I-86W (NY-17W). Take exit 46 and turn left at end of the ramp. Follow the signs to The Rockwell Museum.

Parking

The Rockwell strives to ensure full and safe participation for all. Free parking is located directly behind the Museum. Additional public parking is available in municipal lots where City of Corning parking fees apply.

The Spurrier Community Shuttle provides free transportation between The Rockwell Museum and Corning Museum of Glass. The shuttle stops every 15 minutes and operates during regular Museum hours through October 31.
