The Art Club of Tuscarora Elementary School (Anna Lyons, Lilian Zheng, Lillian Atwood, Seth Specht, Kaylee Keech, Ava Knowles, Sophia Sabol, Madelyn Hoad and Atreyu Walker, with teachers Sarah Gerow and Nicole Walker) gave the historic Addison High School a futuristic twist, with the building gaining the ability to fly with a giant propeller mounted to its roof.
Art teacher Sarah Gerow stopped by to pick up the winnings and trophy this week, and can’t wait to surprise the students when they get back to school on Monday. She has ideas to build a special shelf in her classroom to display the ceramic trophy and plans to use the $250 award to purchase screenprinting supplies for the Art Club.
