Summer Explorers: Rainbow Feelings Card Decks with Shannah Warwick

Our Summer Explorers self-guided program is designed for families and children ages 5 – 12. Drop in anytime to participate in artmaking workshops and gallery activities that encourage families to play with color and engage with art. New themes, projects, and activities will be offered each week. 

This week’s Summer Explorers program includes: 

• How do different colors make you feel? Explore the connection between hue and emotion and create an inspirational watercolor card deck and storage box with guest artist Shannah Warwick.
• Spy, Think, Ponder art card sets highlight works of art in The Rockwell’s collection, tied to the weekly theme. The art cards incorporate youth-friendly language and fun prompts to engage your child’s imagination.  
• Art Hunts are a great way to search the Museum galleries and find details in the artwork. 
• Simple gallery games available on the Art Cart in the galleries will stimulate self-guided exploration with loved ones to foster art appreciation and museum exploration.
