Special Tours for You and Your Group

Old City Hall Architecture Tour

Our museum is housed in Old City Hall and has been at the heart of Corning for over 120 years. As you could imagine, there are some wonderful, unique details to explore in our home.

Investigate some of the special architectural features of the building with a self-guided tour. This tour is available to pick up at the Museum Admission Desk, or download the architecture tour here (PDF).

“Meet Me at the Museum” – Tours for People with Alzheimer’s and Dementia and their Care Partners

We have a special program designed for persons with dementia and their care partners. The focus includes viewing and discussing artwork in the galleries. Specially trained docents will highlight pieces in the Museum’s collection through a colorful presentation to stimulate conversation and reminiscence.

Meet Me at the Museum tours are offered in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, Rochester & Finger Lakes Region. Tours are offered each month from February through May and from September through December. Registration for Meet Me at the Museum is required. To register or to learn more, call 800.272.3900 or visit www.alz.org/rochesterny.

The program operates September – May; stay tuned for details.

Group Tours – Group tours are not currently being offered due to safety precautions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. If a large group arrives at the Museum, you may be asked to separate into smaller clusters; thank you for your cooperation.

School Group Tours – School tours are not currently being offered due to safety precautions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Please stay tuned as we develop virtual tours.
