Open daily, The Rockwell welcomes the young and the young-at-heart to explore Art About America. From Art Hunts to our NEW Family Exploration Studio, the museum is designed to make art accessible to kids, and inspire an appreciation for art at a young age. Kids love our activities, and parents become gallery experts to guide their families through the story of art throughout America. Young museum-goers will adore the opportunity to explore on their own.
The Rockwell makes your visit easy! We are stroller-friendly, offer family restrooms with baby changing stations, and have free and easily accessible parking. Not to mention, we are located in a great neighborhood just steps from Historic Market Street, which is filled with family-friendly dining and great shops.
Ready to plan your trip? We offer some tips for families so you can make the most out of your trip to The Rockwell.
The Rockwell Museum received a very generous gift from William H. Goodrich, President and Chief Executive Officer on behalf of LeChase Construction, to upgrade the Family Exploration Studio. New furniture and fixtures were provided by LeChase in order to offer an enhanced educational experience. A team from LeChase repainted; replaced the carpeting with new; and provided new interpretive signage.
The Studio supports the larger educational vision of The Rockwell; to be a leader in providing authentic art and cultural education experiences. The Rockwell is deeply appreciative of this gift from Mr. Goodrich and LeChase Construction.
On the first Tuesday of the month throughout the school year, The Rockwell combines story-time and art exploration! Pre-school age children and their caregivers.Join us!
